The production area is a very fertile, long and narrow valley which extends along the Andes Mountain Range. The temperatures are moderate in the summer and fluctuate between 30°C and 32°C during the day and 12°C and 14°C during the night. The cultivated fields are watered in rows by the everlasting snow in the Andes Mountain Range.
Due to the lack of rain during the summer months and thanks to the irrigation system, we are able to produce excellent quality seeds free of fungal diseases.
Chile is completely protected by natural barriers which isolate the fields from incoming diseases, in the North, the Atacama desert, in the South, the Antarctic, the Andes Mountain Range in the East and finally the Pacific Ocean on the West Coast. There is no risk of hail or violent storms during the growing season, which could affect the crop development.
